No.1,Never try to remember total 11 lesson's vocabularies in one single night, u will fail on the exam.
No.2, Never do a 2 long plan for ur essay, if u already did, draw to cover.
No.3, the small staircase to the top-level in the school is a good place to prevent hot, but somehow,it is also a place easy to give people a sad mood.

An Alliance with the Huron Empire

An Alliance with the Huron Empire

Please answer each question carefully. There are 8 questions in total. The Hurons were a group of First Nations people who were in an alliance with Champlain. They were closely related to the Iroquois, but had become their enemies.

1. What is an alliance? What does this word mean?

From i see, an alliance is to make a agreement, to get together to face some situation. In the dictionary An alliance is a group of countries or political parties that are formally united and working together because they have similar aims. An alliance also is a relationship in which two countries, political parties, or organizations work together for some purpose.

Great traders themselves, the Hurons navigated the rivers of Central Canada and were very prosperous. They would become the leading source of furs for the French.

2. Why would Champlain want to form an alliance with the Hurons?

I think that he wanted the better profits from the North American colonies. The French did very good at the trade and technology. If they form an alliance with the Hurons ,they will have a mammoth advantage in transport and trade. As we all know, there were millions of unfair trade between the Native people and European. As a french, they will get a lot of goods and treasures during the trade.Getting on will with the Hurons is the the major premise for the cheap transport and mammoth profit of trade.

The Lonely LandA.J.M. Smith
Cedar and jagged fir
uplift sharp barbs
against the gray
and cloud-piled sky;
and in the bay
blown spume and windrift
and thin, bitter spray
snap
at the whirling sky;
and the pine trees
lean one way.
A wild duck calls
to her mate,
and ragged
and passionate tones
stagger and fall,
and recover,
and stagger and fall,
on these stones -
are lost
in the lapping of water
on smooth, flat stones.
This is a beauty
of dissonance,
this resonance
of stony strand,
this smoky cry
curled over a black pine
like a broken
and wind-battered branch
when the wind
bends the tops of the pine
like a broken
and wind-battered branch
when the wind
bends the tops of the pines
and curdles the sky
from the north.
This is the beauty
of strength
broken by strength
and still strong

At the first time when i read this poem, i thought it is full of sadness. The lonely land--we can feel it just from the title. Cedar and jagged fir--some plants that spend their winter cold time along. Those beautiful little things want to against sky?Is that too powerless? Those trees just do not know their own limitations or want a little poor self-respect?Somehow, what they will get at the end is just the sharp barbs.Snapping at the whirling sky, what we can blame? There do have something we can never against.Through away the green trees, watching another beautiful show from nature--the wild duck calls--another powerless show.Their calls stagger and fall, stagger and fall, lost in the nature.Despair, but what can help?Still the same rules, something we can not against. But face those thing that we can not against, face the real power, those beauty still chose to cry, to broke,to against ,even thought they are powerless, no matter what they will get.The strong heart of them be shown suddenly. Is that a real lonely land?I have no idea, but is those plants and animals really powerless? No,i those beauty of strength broken by strength and still strong. It is a poem that full of power!
