Living in this world ,every second of every day,there are millions of people born and die.Just like that,mankind...are changing and changing ,day by day .They never feel content about present situation but always try to improve.That is the human nature,so is the country which is made up by people.In this competitive society,if the country do not want to be bullied ,it needs to develop.As one of the best ways that can cause a mammoth expansion,exploration is major.

Exploration is important because it can help a country to expand territories . Listening to the call from the sea.Navigators take the countries' dream into fog,and always bring lands back. For instance,Jacques Cartier claimed what is now Canada for France.John Cabot also discovered the “New Founde Landes” which now is know as Newfoundland for England.Dom Henrique also found many islands for Portugal.In other words,the exploration can always collect lands for the country.As we all know,more lands for a country means more control, The land is the symbol of powerful and prosperous which is the central of a country. All in all ,the exploration which can help to find the lands is very important for countries.

i learn a lot this week.actually, every week i learn a lot, but there r still something special.

we learned the literary essay on ms.Chan's class. it is very useful,and it is also very important for our Provencal exam, but i do not think i grasp it clearly, i also did not get a very good mark on it.every time, when i fought with it, i was defeated...it makes me feel sooooooooooo sad, but i believe that one day i will win if i try harder.

i join the SBSMUN this week,but just for fun. i help a student who in grade 12 to find some info about India. it lets me learn many things,not only about the country but also the UN. i feel very happy when i learning this.helping people also makes me happy.wish we can do a awesome job!

There are millions of people who are living in the world.Each person acts different character in the play which we called life.Some of them looks pretty,some of them are the symbol of authority, and some of them are known as their noble,but those are all something external.When they are laying down the script on their hands , when they are shedding their colorful costumes,when they are raising the veil which cover face, the real beautiful elements that from their heart,that from the inside are appearing. Both "the sniper"and "Sir Gawain and the Green Knight" are the instance of that, they all show the beauty of human nature--bravery.

In "The sniper",the Republican sniper is a very brave character who can be clam when he is in the face of danger, and overcomes the pain.The Republican sniper is the protagonist of "The sniper" who can be very composed when he is in the danger. As an illustration,"he swore softly and crawled away to the left."when "a bullet flattened itself against the parapet of the roof."Thus, the Republican sniper was very calm when a shot rang out to him. He did not shout or cry like a normal person.He did not show even though a little alarm at that time, it already shows how brave he is. In addition, he is brave because he can overcome the pain. In other words, when the bullet had lodged in his bone,he"closing his eyes, he made an effort of will to overcome the pain".Hence, it means that when his arm was fractured, when there is a bullet in his bone,when there are something that cause a mammoth suffering, the protagonist can still defeat it without venting by crying out. The action of vanquish the pain by using resolve shows his courage.After all, being brave is a characteristic of the Republican sniper. He reveals his valor when he is in the danger and in the face of the pain.He is a symbol of bravery in this story.
In the story"Sir Gawain and the Green Knight",the Green Knight is a brave character who challenges death and is not afraid of authority.The Green Knight is one of the antagonists who challenges death. For instance."The Green Knight got off his horse, cleared his throat, held up his axe, and then spoke.'I want a knight to take this axe and strike me with it.'"Thus, when the Green Knight went to the King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table's feast, he toke out his axe.He asked for his own death to the knights who are the bravest in the world.In short,he is brave because he is fearless for death. An added thought,the Green Knight is courageous also because he is not afraid of authority.That is,"'Are you all cowards?'he roared."When he talked to King Arthur and the Knights.Therefore, the king and knights are all the symbols of authority.According to medieval histories and romances, King Arthur is a legendary British leader. He led the defence of British against the Saxon in raiders in the early 6th century. The knights of the Round Table are also known as brave. They all are very famous, they can control many variables.The Green Knight can judge them as cowards, it already shows how brave he is.All in all, the Green Knight is a character who is full of bravery in this story. He challenges death and he is not afraid of authority.All his heroic acts shows his courage.

In 1532, the year the Duchy of Brittany was formally united with France in the Edict of Union, Cartier was introduced to King Francis I by Jean le Veneur, bishop of Saint-Malo and abbot of Mont-Saint-Michel, at the Manoir de Brion. The king had previously invited (although not formally commissioned) the Florentine explorer Giovanni da Verrazzano to explore the eastern coast of North America on behalf of France in 1524. Cartier is believed to have accompanied da Verrazzano on this expedition, which explored the coast from South Carolina to Nova Scotia, and islands such as Newfoundland; on another voyage they went to Brazil. Le Veneur cited these voyages to Newfoundland and Brazil as proof of Cartier's ability to "lead ships to the discovery of new lands in the New World".
In 1534, Cartier set sail under a commission from the king, hoping to discover a western passage to the wealthy markets of Asia. In the words of the commission, he was to "discover certain islands and lands where it is said that a great quantity of gold and other precious things are to be found". Starting on May 10 of that year, he explored parts of Newfoundland, the areas now the Canadian Atlantic provinces and the Gulf of St. Lawrence. During one stop at Îles aux Oiseaux (Islands of the Birds, now the Rochers-aux-Oiseaux federal bird sanctuary, northeast of Brion Island in the Magdalen Islands), his crew slaughtered around 1000 birds, most of them great auks (now extinct). Cartier's first encounter with aboriginal peoples in Canada, most likely the Mi'kmaq, was brief; some trading occurred. On his second encounter, Cartier panicked as 50 Mi'kmaq canoes surrounded one of his long boats. Despite the Mi'kmaq signs of peace, Cartier ordered his men to fire two warning shots over their heads; the Mi'kmaq paddled away. His third encounter took place on the shores of Gaspé Bay with the St. Lawrence Iroquoians, where on July 24, without their assent, he planted a 10 meter cross bearing the words "Long Live the King of France" and took possession of the territory in the name of the king. The change in mood was a clear indication that the Iroquoians understood Cartier's actions. There is no historical consensus on exactly what happened next and exactly where, but during this trip he kidnapped Chief Donnacona's two sons.Donnacona at last agreed that they could be taken, under the condition that they return with European goods to trade.He also began to build diplomatic relations with the natives. Cartier returned to France in September 1534, sure that he had reached an Asian coast.

2. Who is John Cabot? Tell me ten facts (real information) about him.

I learn many things about Cabot by searching on Internet.He is an Italian navigator

and explorer. He was probably born in Genoa, Italy around 1450, (he died in 1496)but he moved to Venice and that is where he most likely learned to sail.In 1484, he moved again, this time to Bristol in England. That's when he decided to call himself John Cabot, the "English" version of his name. Like Columbus and others of his time, Cabot believed that Asia could be reached by sailing westward. Up until then, the only known way to get to Asia was by going east. Some wealthy Englishmen liked his ideas and paid for him to lead an westward expedition to Asia. They were anxious to find an easier and quicker way to bring back goods from Asia to trade in Europe.

He discovered the “New Founde Landes” which now is know as Newfoundland, Canada.He explored North America for England in 1497 he sailed to what is now eastern Canada,so he is very important to Canadian history.

He made his first voyage to North America (which he thought was Asia) in 1497. The ship was called the Matthew and had a crew of 18 men. He sailed northwest, through the stormy Atlantic Ocean, and eventually came to North America. He sailed along the coast, past Labrador, Newfoundland, and New England. He claimed the land he found for England. King Henry VII was pleased with his efforts and granted Cabot a pension of 20 pounds a year.

there r so many things happened in this week, i typed many things about them just right now, but when i reread, when i came down , i took a deep breath, i deleted all of them,they all r the least thing that i want to share,because they all hurt people so much!i just want to say that there r no winner or loser, no right or wrong in the war of a relationship, everyone pays, everyone gets hurt.
so why can we just be nice! guys!do not hate, be more friendly, forgive each other, we will all feel happy.

I AM NOT A SMOKER!

Yesterday , after school, when i left with B, a teacher called fengxx asked me to stop.it just so strange!i stopped and waited.he said' what is ur problem? i asked u to talk to ms.cui!why u did not to do that?!""to go to see ms.cui?!why?"i did not know what is wrong with him,so i asked."to talk about why u smoked out of school yesterday!"he said loudy, many student lookes at me."what?smoking?u said that i smoked yeasterday?ha !"it just so strange!how can i smoke?!he must be kiding me ,i thought,and said."of course!u smoked yesterday!i caught u!told u to talk to ms.cui!"i felt very baffling, i have never smoked, i can swear!then, i realized that he may make a mistake, and he thought i was someone else, so i said"sir, i did not smoke yeaterday, in fact i have never smoked! u may thought that i were the other person!""no! i did not make any mistakes!it was u!i saw u yesterday!u r a smoker!"he was just so sure!i felt very angry!it was a kind of slander!how he could just say that without any proff!but i still tried to be kind, i said"sir, i thought u do make a mistake!u can went to sino bright school to ask!no one will think that i am a smoker!""no !no! no! u r a smoker!i saw u smoke!i will not go to ask them !u shut up!"it just so rude!i tried to say something, but there was another teacher told me" come on! it is ok! just take care about that!do not smoke again !''i knew he try to help me, but the thing he said just maked me more angry!"i did not smort! how many times u want me to say! i have never smoked! i told u that u make a mistake ! why u just do not believe me !we can go to find ms cui now!i am not afraid of anything! because u r wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!why u said is a injury to me!it is injury!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!""stop talking!i do not believe u!"he said. at this time, there were two of sbs's student coming, they heard what mr.feng said, they laughed"come on ! she just can not be a smoker!"they talked.then i left with B.

I were so angry!i talked to B on the way we go home, B listened quietly, then she said,'' i know u r not a smoker, i know he thought u r another person, beacuse i know who is the real smoker, she went to home with me yesterday, and we met mr.feng..."that was a hugh suprises!she told me everthing she could tell at the end of that day.

Today , when i went to school, i saw ms.cui and mr.feng were standing together. when ms. cui saw me, she said"what did u do the day before yesterday?!"she was so serious, i realized that she thought i smoked!it made me feel very said, i could not believe that ms.cui thought i may smoke!it was really broke my heart, because i thought she knew what kind of person i am!"i did not smoke!i can prove!"i said, i do can prove myself, because mr.feng remembered that smoker went with B that day, but i did not go with her that day, i went with U!I also can find some witnesses.i told this to ms.cui. she said that she would find out the true!i did not think that she believe me so such, and it was sooooo unconfortable that if some one wronged u!so i decided to make me very clear!

The day before yesterday, i went to building 2 with U before we leave school together, because there were something that ms.big cui want to talk to her. at first i waited her downstairs in a office.few minutes later mr.posada and one of his studentQ came in and sat behind me, they were talking something about science at that time , and i did not think it is very good that i sat there, so i went to up stairs to find U . i told her to try to be as fast as she can . ms. big cui saw me at that time, then i went back to sat with mr.posada.i thought all of them can prove me, so i talked to them. Q said that he saw i left with U, and he can prove, but mr.posada just remembered me , he did not remember the other girl's face, but he said that he is so sure that i do sat there to wait somebody at 4:20--4:40, i finally found ms. big cui. she said that she can prove me , and she said that she did not believe that i smoked, that made me feel happy.all of them wrote down their name on a piece of paper to prove that i am clear. i gave this to ms.cui finally. i knew it is not very necessary, but i just want them to make sure that i am not a smoker 100percent!i can not let people disbelieve my personality!i am not a smoker, and i am not a liar!

I felt so good when i make every thing clear!after school , i found mr. feng to ask for his apology, i did not care who he is , or what he can control, just this time ,he does wrong. he said sorry to me, we fixed out all the things.i was very happy at that time.

I knew some of u think that what i did is not necessary, i will met many things that is make me feel wronged, unfair, there will still be some people who disbelieve me, i can not to make it clear everytime, but i am tring to let more people to know who i am , i want them to trust me , to believe me, that is what i keep working for.

If u ask me who is the real smoker, i will tell u that it is the least thing i will say!

Today hugh and his little sister went to school. next week they will go back to korea and will not come to china in a short time.i feel soooo bad about that.

Hugh is one of my best friends.we have played together since we met in ms.chan's summer club.he tried to teach us korean , but i was so lazy at that time,and i did not learn it from him,that is a shame.today,i can still remember how happy i was when i stayed with him ,when i talked to him in chinese, he is not bad in speaking chinese,in fact ,i think it is very good, he learnd chinese official for 1 or 2 years, i do not remember it very clear.i realized that his chinese is so good is when i sent messages to him in traditional chinese, he can still understood.

Anyway, we have many wonderful memories, i really do not want him to leave.

We made a viking ship in canadian study today.yesterday when i heard that we would make a ship, i thought it must be very hard,but when B,Mand i got together to try to work it out today,i suddenly felt it was not so hard. i do like team work.we plan to make a 'couple--ship 'with V.Mand C's group.i love those guys!we will make a wonderful 'couple--ship'!i am so happy to do it ! i also want we can have more time to finish it perfectly!

I WILL MISS U 4EVER HUGH& GOOD LUCK FOR BOTH U AND ME!
